Art Classes for Children

I am pleased to offer art classes for children ages 5-11 from my Steveston home studio beginning February 15th. Class sizes are limited to 5 children ensure quality. Classes are 2 hour sessions over 8 weeks and can be taken in any sequence. Classes will run every 8 weeks.

2 spaces available for ages 5 & 6 beginning Feb 27th

Art tutoring is also available to encourage creative and imaginative expression. Please contact me to discuss.

Classes:

Introduction to Art Concepts (9-11 years old)

Description: The focus of this course will be on the fundamentals of creating art. These include the effective use of line, shape, composition and colour using a variety of art materials. Students will work both independently and in small groups to create exciting pieces they can take home.

Introduction to Art Techniques (9-11 years old)

Description: In this course, students will explore a variety of art materials and learn how to mix techniques such as print-making, paints and ink to create unique, imaginative pieces to take home. Students will work individually and in small groups.

Thursdays 4:00pm-6:00pm

Description: The focus of this course will be on art basics and having fun while learning about different kinds of art materials. Students will explore effective use of line, shape, composition and colour. Students will work both independently and in small groups to create exciting pieces they can take home.

Introduction to Art Techniques (6-8 years old) Description: Students will explore a variety of art materials including painting, print-making, collage and mosaic and learn how to mix techniques to create unique, imaginative pieces to take home.

Wednesdays: 3:30-5:30pm

April 14-June 2

Exploring Art Concepts (5-6 years old)

Description: Exploring art concepts such as line, shape, composition and colour can be fun! Students will be introduced to art basics in this hands-on course and will learn about different art materials and ways to express themselves artistically.

Saturdays 1:00-3:00pm (8 classes)
