Children's Gallery

I've always been interested in how children approach art. They simply choose the shapes, colours and art materials they like, and they go for it!  I'm always inspired by their imaginative creations. Here is a gallery of art from my children's classes over the past year, as well as a few pieces created by my son Sam.

         Octopus Dream from Sam's Book

(Above) My son likes trying "mixed media" by combining paints, markers, stamping methods and collage. Last year we tried something new together. We created a book by first creating plasticine characters, put them in a "shoebox scene" then used a digital camera to create our "pages". (My husband Jeff works for a children's book publisher so we had lots of inspiration!) We posted our new book,  "Octopus Dream" on Youtube.
