I've always been interested in how children approach art. They just choose the shapes and colours which appeal to them and they go for it! The art children create from just trying out different materials and techniques is one of the greatest joys for both the young artist and the adult helping them. I think for children, creativity and imagination are part of everyday life!

Here are some examples of my son's and his friends' work, as well as some newer pieces from my latest classes. My son likes trying "mixed media" by combining paints, markers, stamping methods and collage. Last year we tried something new together. We wanted to see if we could create a book with our own plasticine characters, a "shoebox scene" and a digital camera. (My husband, Jeff, works for a children's book publisher so we had lots of inspiration!) We posted our new book,  "Octopus Dream" on Youtube.
