Did I always know that I wanted to be an artist?

When did I start painting? The truth is, I never planned on being an artist! After years in corporate sales and marketing, including time abroad, I thought that was my path. But being born in Vancouver, I always felt a pull towards nature.

It wasn't until my thirties that I really embraced my artistic side. When a local gallery called for submissions, I spontaneously painted a scene from my cherished Steveston Village. Much to my surprise, my piece was accepted, featured in the window — and it sold! That moment ignited my passion for painting, leading me to take on commissions and capture more of our vibrant local scenes.

Eventually, I decided to get more formal training and enrolled in art school. And that’s how my artistic journey began!

“I paint where imagination meets realism. My studio is a joyful space to create, interpret, and express nature through colour and shape.”

“With each brushstroke, I explore energy and movement. My art is a colourful dance as I capture how nature is a reflection of our emotions and experiences. It all begins with an idea.”

Rooted in the beauty of the West Coast, each piece I create is inspired by forest trails, ocean air, and the ever-changing light of nature.
